Açaí Brazil Brings Authentic Smoothies to Toronto
There’s something exceptional about food — it has the remarkable ability to take us on a cultural journey through its flavors. Açaí Brazil embodies this concept perfectly. Their smoothie bowls, made with açaí berries cultivated in the Amazon, satisfy cravings for the authentic Brazilian taste in Toronto. After trying their thick, creamy, fresh products, you’ll discover a new favorite treat. The refreshing offerings are especially perfect for the sunny summer days ahead.
The store is new in town. Açaí Brazil opened its doors last November when the couple Roselane and Joarley Santos purchased the space where a unit of the Açaí Concept chain used to operate. Their purpose is simple and clear: to offer açaí smoothies with premium ingredients and a distinctive identity, making you eager for more.
“Our product is a blend of genuine açaí with fresh and succulent fruits” says Roselane.
To share the excitement about this journey and connect with food enthusiasts, Açaí Brazil will debut at festivals by joining BrazilFest on July 20th and 21st as a sponsor and vendor. “The event has a huge audience of Brazilians and foreigners interested in our culture. Besides being a place of sales, the festival will be a means of promotion for us. It’s an opportunity to showcase who we are and reach more people than just through the store.”
Where to buy
By all means, you don’t have to wait to treat yourself. We recommend heading to the store to savor their delightful and refreshing smoothies ASAP — and joining us at the festival to relive the unforgettable taste experience surrounded by friends in a green and yellow atmosphere.
The cozy shop is located at 2039 Yonge Street, open seven days a week for clients to customize their açai smoothies with a ton of options. The store offers
- Three types of fruits (banana, blueberry and strawberry;
- 10 different toppings (granola, powder milk, coconut, peanuts, paçoca, corn flakes, nesquik, chocolate chips, oreo, rice crisps);
- and seven distinct syrups (condensed milk, peanut butter, nutella, honey, chocolate, strawberry, caramel).
It’s a blast of flavors! Orders are also available through Skip the Dishes, Doordash, and Uber Eats.
“It’s very gratifying to offer Brazilians a product they miss and to see foreigners tasting our food for the first time and enjoying it,” comments Roselane. “The cool thing is seeing them trying more and more new things every time. Since they can add as many toppings as they want, they are always discovering new flavors. Usually, they start with just açai, granola, and a fruit. Then, they add Oreos, Nutella, or condensed milk. It’s a different type of fun.”
Partners
Beyond the store’s flagship item, Açaí Brazil celebrates Brazilian cuisine by participating in a support network. The place sells pão de queijo, coxinha, bolinha de queijo, and esfirras, crafted by Brazilian partners, as part of a task force to offer Toronto the best of our culture. “We all support each other’s businesses. Many of the people who come for the açaí also take home these other Brazilian delicacies,” explains Roselane.
Besides collaborations, Açaí Brazil’s approach to growth in the food industry is deeply rooted in customer feedback. Roselane Santos explains they actively listen to customers and value their suggestions. “Many have expressed interest in us opening another store, which is a future goal we are considering”, says. Roselane emphasizes that feedback goes beyond mere compliments; it’s about understanding and incorporating customer needs to enhance their experience. Responding to requests, the team is looking to incorporate into the menu sugar-free açaí options to cater to those with dietary restrictions.
It’s clear that this isn’t just a spot for sipping sensational smoothies — it’s a cultural cornerstone right in the heart of Toronto. Dedicated to quality, authenticity, and customer satisfaction, Açaí Brazil is poised to keep evolving based on feedback and desires, ensuring that every visit is a delightful experience that embodies the vibrant spirit of Brazilian gastronomy in this diverse city.
